Cake Masters Magazine Cover and featured tutorial - February 2018

 

Hello.

So, this happened… And I still can’t believe it! When I sent the photos of my cake to have the chance to have my tutorial featured in the Cake Masters Magazine for the Vintage and Lace theme, I never expected to be featured. I thought with so many talented around us, it was really difficult to happen.

So, when February arrived, I went as usual to see the magazine. And you can imagine… I almost fainted when I saw the cover! I took some time to realize it was MY CAKE ON THE COVER!!!

Not only I was featured among amazingly talented cake designers, but I also made the cover. What a beginning of the year!!!

As you know, Cake Masters Magazine is one of the most prestigious cake magazines in the world, and it’s such an honour to be included.

I even had a cute little badge to use!

 
 

The tutorials on this issue are about lace and vintage details.

about my tutorial

In my tutorial, I show how to use cake lace and moulds to add those refined vintage feelings. I’ve used Renshaw modelling paste to have a faster dry time and easy on the moulds. For the painting, I’ve used Rainbow Dust metallic paint in gold.

For the teacup, I’ve followed Sugar Geek Show tutorial (Garden Party Cake tutorial). It’s easy and so fun to do! You can become a Sugar Geek: https://sugargeekshow.com/become-a-member/

To cover the cake, I’ve used Renshaw sugar paste coloured with Rainbow Dust progels. You just need a teeny tiny amount of it to create this beautiful soft pastel tones.

The flowers were all made with Renshaw Flower and Modelling Paste and dusted with Rainbow Dust dusts.

I absolutely love how this cake turned out.
